TIPS PARTICIPANTS CERTIFICATION 2017

The Tobacco Research Board traditionally holds mid-year, the Tobacco Improved Productivity Sites (TIPS) participants and Department of Agricultural Technical and Extension Services (AGRITEX) participating officers certification day. This year the function was held on Wednesday the 26th of July 2017. The Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Agriculture, Mechanisation and Irrigation Development, Honourable D. Marapira officiated on behalf of Dr. J. M. Made the Minister of Agriculture, Mechanisation and Irrigation Development. The certification day recognizes participants who have successfully completed a course in tobacco production. The TIPS programme emphasizes adopting a hands on learning approach on tobacco production processes by the local participants on selected sites across all tobacco growing districts.
